iPod Shuffle Headphone
The new iPod Shuffles have a relatively small form factor and since there’s no screen to look at, why not have them mounted right onto a set of headphones? That’s exactly what the Elecom Actrail Headphones do, with a spot right on the headphone to put your Shuffle. No wires, no mess. To control the music, just reach up and adjust it by feel. Nice design- these are Japanese imports.

Innovative Gadgets: iCrystal Docking Station

Speakal has just released this really interesting looking iPod speaker dock called the Speakal iCrystal Stereo iPod Docking Station Speakal iCrystal iPod Dock and Speakers. The two separated spherical pods house an illuminated teardrop that sheds a gentle ambient blue light around the rim of the speaker. It looks like a mad science experiment to me. In other woods- cool. It runs on either batteries or AC and it comes with a remote control and an input jack for audio devices beyond just iPods.

Innovative Gadgets: "Dancing Girl Docking Station"

This is easily the most outrageous (and largest!) iPod dock we’ve ever come across. The “Disco Table“, designed by Moritz Waldemeyer, is a go-go dancer cage, except the “cage” is virtual- made of LED lights and lasers and it has a smoke machine too. And oh yeah, it also has speakers and an iPod dock on the bottom. When it’s not being used as a makeshift club in your living room, it shuts down into a relatively normal looking Corian coffee table. No price listed, available “on demand for the discerning homebody”.
